Property Description
185 feet of level, private lakefront, a true stretch of Skaneateles Lake all your own, and the kind of setting that turns an ordinary summer into something you remember for years. Built in 1926 by an artist and a poet and passed through just two owners since 1958, this camp can only be reached by boat or by a footpath through the woods, making the arrival itself part of the experience. Once you're there, the level shoreline is made for lake days, with plenty of room for kids to play and swim in the crystal-clear waters Skaneateles Lake is known for, sheds tucked near the water to stash all your gear, and a firepit right on the shore for summer bonfires and s'mores under the stars. Down by the water, the studio does double duty as a summer kitchen, with a fridge and counter space for prepping lake-day meals without ever heading back up the hill, while up on the porch, a hammock overlooking the water is the spot for a slow afternoon with a book. Inside the main camp, the floor opens into a single sunlit room where natural woodwork and windows frame the water, and three bedrooms upstairs tuck beneath the eaves, each lit by its own skylight. Offered turn-key and including the dock, this is a property with a rare kind of stillness and a rare amount of frontage, ready to enjoy from day one.
